The “Detailed Painting” is showcasing some pretty detailed birds.
The “Detailed Painting” is sometimes fake. It is fortunately, pretty easy to tell them apart. The real one has blue grapes, the fake one has purple!
Once placed in the museum, the description provided on the plaque will read,
Ajisai Sōkeizu, Itō Jakuchū, 18th century
Dyed silk
A detailed, colorful, and dynamic piece by Itō Jakuchū, a successful Kyoto artist in the mid-Edo period. High-quality paints on silk help it maintain its brilliant color even now, 200 years after its creation.
